She/Her/Hers

Dr. Demi Maglio is a licensed clinical psychologist who excels at helping individuals of all ages
discover how they can live a meaningful, fulfilling life while meeting complex medical and
mental health challenges. Having developed a deep understanding of the mind-body connection
through her education, training, career, and personal life, she has a particular interest in working
with patients who are living with chronic health conditions and those adjusting to new diagnoses.
She also specializes in helping patients who are facing the challenges of chronic pain, infertility,
postpartum anxiety and depression, eating disorders, and sleep disorders.

Dr. Maglio is highly skilled in and passionate about collaborating with each patient as a whole
person—identifying and addressing their unique and evolving set of physical, emotional, and
psychosocial needs and aspirations. With both expertise and empathy, and a style that is genuine
and nonjudgmental, she creates a warm, comfortable environment in which patients feel safe in
exploring solutions for positive change. She empowers patients to unlock their inner strengths
and bring their choices and actions in line with their values so they can achieve a healthier
lifestyle and enjoy a more satisfying life.

Dr. Maglio’s therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and
Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). She also integrates other evidence-based approaches
in which she has completed specialized training, including CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I), CBT for
Chronic Pain, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, solution-focused
therapy, meaning-centered psychotherapy, clinical hypnosis, and mindfulness. Valuing that her
patients are the experts of their own lives, she draws on these approaches as appropriate to meet
them where they are, recognize and expand their readiness for change, and facilitate their
growth.

Throughout her clinical training and professional experience, Dr. Maglio has worked in
behavioral medicine, inpatient, outpatient, and private practice settings. She completed her
Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at the University of Delaware and received her
