Dr. Erin Ripley

Psychologist

She/Her/Hers

Dr. Ripley is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in helping her patients understand whats happening with their body and brain while she collaborates with them to discover how they can live productive, satisfying lives. She is dedicated to pursuing a patient-centered, patient-led approach—gently and thoughtfully building rapport, partnering to explore challenges, and working together to find solutions and achieve breakthroughs along the way.

Her therapeutic orientation and expertise have been shaped by her extensive experience working in rehabilitation settings. She is highly skilled at helping patients of all ages meet and overcome the psychological struggles that can exacerbate their physical symptoms, impede their ability to cope with life changes, and compromise their treatment and recovery. Recognizing that addressing the complex interplay of physical, psychological, social, and other dimensions is essential, she brings a holistic, eclectic orientation to helping each person.

Dr. Ripley has worked with individuals in a variety of outpatient and inpatient settings—evaluating their needs and providing individual and group therapy services drawing on evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She is experienced at working as part of an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to create and carry out comprehensive treatment plans. Further, she is committed to applying her knowledge and skills to help patients’ family members and other caregivers meet the unique challenges they face.

Dr. Ripleys field and post-doctoral training included providing comprehensive neuropsychological testing, crisis intervention, case management, and individual and group therapy services. As a rehabilitation neuropsychologist, she provided individual and family therapy, co-facilitated group psychotherapy and psychoeducation, and worked with interdisciplinary teams in a clinic serving adolescents and adults who had suffered brain injuries and other neurological events as well as at a comprehensive care facility helping patients recover from amputations, strokes, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, multiple traumas, POTS, Long COVID and other medical and neurological conditions. She is the co-author, with Pamela Klonoff, of the chapter Integrative Psychotherapy for Holistic Neurorehabilitation” (2019).
