Dr. Jaimi Ramsey

As a licensed psychologist, Dr. Ramsey specializes in supporting children, adolescents, and young adults who are facing traumatic stress, anxiety, and depression. Dr. Ramsey also partners with children and families who are navigating chronic physical health conditions such as POTS, IBD, and type 1 diabetes.

With compassion, enthusiasm, and deep experience, Dr. Ramsey encourages patients to explore their natural strengths and values in their pursuit of healing. She embraces a warm and authentic approach to collaboratively develop insight into the connections between one’s experiences, thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and overall wellness. She introduces developmentally appropriate skills intended to improve short-term coping and promote long-term resilience. She often works closely with patients’ caregivers to bolster their efforts to provide effective and validating support. Dr. Ramsey is passionate about providing care that is culturally responsive and that recognizes how systemic societal factors affect psychological health. She employs evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Dr. Ramsey worked for eight years as a staff psychologist at a pediatric hospital in St. Louis, where she provided evidence-based individual therapy, developed and led trauma-focused and mindfulness-based therapy groups, consulted on interdisciplinary medical teams, and provided clinical consultation and supervision. Before joining Evolvinn, she also worked at an equity-focused mental health organization to develop and consult on programs that prepare school mental health professionals to utilize evidence-based interventions with students. She also brings to Evolvinn her experience providing trauma-focused professional training for a range of audiences and conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and interventions in a variety of other clinical, community health, and academic settings.

Dr. Ramsey earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Missouri St. Louis and completed her M.A. and Ph.D. in Child Clinical Psychology at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She completed her predoctoral internship at the Dartmouth Psychology Internship Program and her post-doctoral fellowship at Children’s Advocacy Services of Greater St. Louis.

Dr. Ramsey is licensed in Missouri and able to practice in all PSYPACT states.
